I did manage to earn two cheques in August too. They came to $254 in total. There were a few smaller cheques sent but all in all it wasn’t a stellar month. But I’m hoping with some new re-vamped sites and some new sites in development that September will be much better

To be totally honest, I’ve not calculated anything yet. Last night I opened my spreadsheet and put the numbers in, but I didn’t add them up. I can say that revenue did go up. Adsense performed really well for me in August. Since I’d focused on that as a revenue generator #1. I’ve even hit Amazon a few times - which is more than I have been for a few months now. I’m just puttering along. In August I got two cheques over $100 each. That was really nice.
The money coming in keeps me motivated.
I also bought a site. Yes, I took the plunge and bought a pre-existing website. Now I just have to fix it up and send it on it’s merry way. It’s taken a few days to get a template up on it, just because I keep changing my mind. But I think the new site looks good and I’m hoping to have all content up and going by the end of the week.
So, I’ll have my stats all done up tonight to share with you. But for now, I can only be really vague

Well I have to say after the work (or lack of in some parts) I’ve actually beat a few of my records from the month before:
Total: $190.01
I went up in my Adsense earnings which is totally great! I went down in my Text Link Ads - which is kind of sad, because that’s been my bread and butter for the past few months. So I’m thinking either I have to take it up a knotch and promote my text link ads like mad and make up for it or keep in mind different money making idea (a la not all my eggs in one basket sort of thing).
LinkWorth pulled a good one for me this month - since they’ve been doing their sponsored posts as well as text links - I’ve managed to pull in a review. Which is a nice little bonus I’m thinking I need to work on getting a few more review articles in each month to add to the coffers if I’m going to make ends meet. I’d love to be able to work towards something - so I’m going to set up a little goal page. Maybe… see what happens. I’m looking at making money to make more money - online investing I guess I’d call it. Maybe get money together and purchase an existing site and take it for a spin and see what happens. We’ll see
All in all I’m stoked for August!

 $161.54 - total paid out. That’s all I’ve been counting for the past few months. I mean, some of those numbers look pretty darn impressive right? But I don’t see most of it due to the payout ratio on the affiliate programs/ad networks. Which is a bit of a bummer.
June has been pretty stellar in terms of revenue from Adsense. I double what I’d made in May - mostly due to the push of my fan site. I would have to say that 80% of that income for June was due to my fan site making it’s debut onto the Internet. I’m happy for that and I’m hoping in a month’s time that fan site #2 will starting earning around the same. That means this is getting BETTER, and not worse… which was the case a few months ago.
Now, seriously… where did June go? It seemed to fly by in my online life as well as offline. It’s just weird. I think it might have something to do with me getting older 
Yikes.
But anyhoo. This weekend was meant for a little cleanup around Building My Empire… and nothing was accomplished - but my backyard doesn’t have quite so many weeds in it. So I was doing SOMETHING this weekend… just not so much online. So now here I am, thinking of maybe having to look into other avenues of income - since some of these have pretty much flatlined.
I have a question for you. For Fan Site #1 I had someone make some really good looking MySpace templates. Now I’m having a bit of a dilemma - do I post them for free and give my site some link love action that way. Do I ask for a donation… or do I charge a sum… like $5 a download? I would like to make some money from this - but I’m not sure how to go about it.
