Lists… Lists… Lists

Blogosphere Links 1 Comment »

I’ve been cruising around the blogosphere - reading some interesting posts on ideas - most of which oddly appear as lists. So I thought I’d share with you some that peaked my interest - and hopefully you will find a little useful too.

I liked this post:

Totally, Completely unrelated - but I think I could definitely be eating better and found these lists rather interesting:

It’s been a while since I’ve taken a moment to write down and share with you… so here you go:

  • Westen30 - This is a blog created by Martin who’s one of us, looking for ways to make money on the Internet. Give him a visit and see what you think :)
  • b5Media - has managed to raise $2 million (US) in capital for their network.
  • A Pop a Day - over at How to Be Poor… kind of puts things in perspective.
  • Hellion - from WaiterRant.net this one just made me smile.
  • Grabacondom.com - a new way to get a condom… what do you think?
  • PlinkMe.com - free photographs for your website. No downloads - copy and paste code. Neat idea?

No, some of these links have absolutely nothing to do with Affiliate Marketing… and I like it that way :) Keeps my life spicy… LOL.

  • Came across this page from Feedbuzzard about alternatives to Adsense…. seems like a pretty big list, and alternatives are a good thing! Check out the list, there are some there I’ve never seen before and might be worth a peek.
  • Instabloke’s article on flogging products online.  I’d have to say that he does have a really good point.
  • Pidea.info is a new site I’ve come across about affiliate marketing - AIS, that sort of thing and the journey to making some money online.  A personal blog if you will.  I enjoy swinging by there every once in a while and see what’s up :)

Cruisin’ once again through my RSS feed - I found some interesting things that might be of some interest to you :)

  1. Commission Junction Extention for Firefox - I found this one at Fraser’s Affiliate Marketing Blog. I loaded it up and it works like a charm. You can check your CJ stats at 20 minute intervals. Kind of handy if you have a CJ account and you don’t want to continually log in to the account directly.
  2. Play the Adsense Game - I found this one over at the Art of Money. Of course it’s a game to promote Joel Comm’s book, but I found it rather interesting (traumatic) to see how crap I am at getting people to click on my Google ads :P

Other than that…. I’ve got an idea stewing, and I’m going to work on a layout of the plan this week. It is on the topic of affiliate marketing/marketers. It’s in it’s infancy yet - but I’ve had good feedback about the idea from a couple of people. We’ll see.

The weekend brought in ZERO sales and a minor blip on clicks. Sad. But hopefully this week things will get back on track… today I did manage to get a sale :) and a rockin’ $5 commission… LOL. Something is better than nothing right? Heh.

Back to reality - back to work

When one of the big boys gets knocked down a peg

It appears that Jeremy Palmer (who runs Quit Your Day Job and is a CJ Top Performer) has had his blog disabled at Blogger.

It appears that Google’s spambot bit the blog in the butt and now Jeremy is without his blog - and is considering using Wordpress for his future writings.

I think that blogger is a great program - but it does leave you a bit vunerable to outside forces, when you’re trying to be legitimate and someone can flag you as spam, get hit by the google spambot, or just leaving it to the higher beings to screw with your site.

Probably is a good thing he’s looking to roll his site out independently.
