Burt over at osWorld has a new idea and a cool widget (if he gets enough interest) where it’s very similar to Scratchback.  His product as he explains it:
How is it different to Scratch Back?
Well, IF I release it;
- I’ll give no support
- I’ll take no commission
- It can be designed by you, to fit your blog completely
- I’ll want 1 linkback from every site it’s used on
In essence, if you need support/help/tuition/hand holding, then you need to go to someone who can offer this. In return they will want payment. If you have enough skill to be able to amend your template, FTP and copy/paste then you might want to consider using my script.
A Marketplace for link sellers
I’m sure that the Scratch Back people have something like this planned - it’s definitely needed. If I release my version, I think it would be quite easy to make a little site on which people can add their own sites that use the script.
Personally I like the idea of not having to deal with the middleman and giving a link back for using the product doesn’t seem like a bad idea. What I’ve noticed about products like this though is that without the Middleman to promote the link sales or have an area where you can see who else is using the script to do an exchange, etc makes it a difficult task to be successful with it and often more times than not we give up on it because it is “too hard”.
With this yet un-named product from Burt he’s looking to take care of that concern with the development of a marketplace. Â Â I’m hoping like Burt, that Scratchback comes up with something similar - it’s hard to find others using the product… so that would be really excellent to have.
So if you think you could use this product - stop by and let Burt know you would be interested. Â If there is enough interest Burt will code it up for us to use!

Belle from Adventures in Net Marketing has started a new site called Niche Marketing Journey. This is how Belle explains her new site:
Here at Niche Marketing Journey, I test out a variety of blueprints, reports and e-books, and track my stats and income for each method. My goal is to find out what works, and what doesn’t, because I ALWAYS wonder, “Does it really work?”
I think we’ve all had an encounter or two (or three) with those online ebooks, blueprints, and all that other online hype and now and again the copy is so good that we buy into it. Hoping that being so cynical about all that stuff… we were wrong and now we’re on our way. Sometimes we can gleam some great information from some and others are just bombs.
I’m looking to avoid the crappy and maybe in future invest in some of those products - if I know they’ve been reviewed by someone who doesn’t actually have a stake in the sales.
I’m looking forward to reading more, so stop by and say hi and check out what Belle has to say

You know those sort of sites where people (um, bloggers) are nominated in their niche category for some groovy recognition for the work they’ve done on their blogs. Well, I came across the Bloggers Choice Awards. I signed up. I have nominated a couple of sites that I think deserve the recognition by other blog-types (yes, people).
So they’re going to review the submissions and they say that it takes about 24 hours to yeah or ney it. We’ll see
I like checking these sort of things out because I like to see who else is in this niche, or in a niche that I enjoy and I find new blogs to add to my RSS feed.

Lately I’ve been adding new blogs that I’ve found to my RSS reader and thought I’d share
- videstu.com - “This site is the personal site of Peter Andersen, a danish multimedia-designer to be.” I found Peter’s site, because he left me comments… delicious comments! I really like his blog. Check it out.
- TylerCruz.com - This is another site that I just can’t seem to stop reading… found out he’s on the same Island as myself. I can’t help but laugh when I’m reading about his quest to make a 40 hour work week. If only life was so challenging for the rest of us.
- JohnChow.com - Another “biggie” on the scene. I can’t seem to stop reading his blog - looking to see what affiliate marketer’s who are making money do online or in their spare time.
- 45n5.com - Always love his adventure. Check it out
- 31 Day Challenge - Leesha is working online to see if she can make money online in 31 days. Interesting taking a peek into how she’s doing it - because it’s so different from the way I have been working online to make money… and so far she’s making money!
