Where have you been successful?
Everyday BS, Link and Traffic Building, Marketing, My Websites Add commentsI have having another “one of those” moments last night where I was really trying to sit down and think through what has really worked well for me in regards to making money online. I think I’ve tried almost everything under the sun since I started this blog and this blog was to showcase what I’d done and how successful (or unsuccessful) I’d been. Hey, there is always two sides to the coin, but unfortunately we don’t often hear the ugly side of trying this sort of thing - because for the most part I don’t think it would be that profitable
So where do I see myself going?
To be honest, I’ve been all over the map lately. I’ve wanted to try so many different things and came to the big conclusion that I don’t have enough hours in the day to do it all - and then I get burnt out with trying to play catch-up with this big list I’ve put together which in turn stresses me out. LOL.
For me it’s been about making extra money. Pay down those bills, maybe even afford a treat or two along the way that I wouldn’t have normally been able to do. Well, so far - I’ve managed to mostly cover my hosting and domain buying/renewing. Which is awesome. But it is still no where near where I wanted to be at this point of my online adventure.
So what did I do? I decided to move away from marketing other peoples products and focus on what I could provide people on the Internet. Is it easier? Hell no. Is it something I could see myself doing for a while… hell yes. So that’s where I stand right now. Working on my own “product”. It’s not an ebook
Since starting on this project around November I’ve made more money than I ever did in the three-odd years I’ve been working on my affiliate marketing. How sad is that! LOL. I’ve really focused more and more on this project that I’m starting to see more people coming to the site because of the results in Google. Which is awesome - because online advertising is expensive when you’re bootstrapping your way up the ladder.
As always, I totally think that having multiple streams of income is awesome. I’m still doing my affiliate marketing/niche sites. I look at this money as being able to pay for being online. I just don’t think I have the inclination currently to invest all my time in learning more about PPC and that sort of marketing right now. Never say never of course - because that would be totally dumb - and you can always use those skills in pretty much everything we do online. What I am saying is that part of my little empire is on the backburner for now as far as trying to make big $$ from it.
So here you go:
- Have your own product/service to offer
- Piggy-back your product/service off a bigger “name”
- Have multiple streams of income (niche sites, affiliate marketing, playing the market)
Yeah, not a big list… but that’s how I’m rolling with things so far.
What would you say are your top picks at making money online for you?
