Ah my lovlies…. where have I been??

I can’t even start to tell  you have crazy my week has been and lack of time and focus has been a real kick in the butt.  I’m more than a little behind and now I’ve gone into avoid mode - which only makes things worse - but it’s my way of dealing with chaos… so there

I’ve managed to get my new site up and somewhat running - the theme is in place and the content for the site is sloooowly getting added.  This is the part I never really enjoy - it never seems to go fast enough and I’m always second-guessing myself if I’m doing the right thing, adding the right keywords, adding the right amount of ads… which ads should I use?  Maybe you know how it goes, maybe you don’t… hell, maybe there are some of you out there who know the game and play it well.

I’m STILL learning.

Damn it

So anyhoo… I’ve started another site - yes I’m craaazy.  I suppose what’s totally helped me from stepping completely on the crazy train is the fact that this time I’ve got a list, and I’m sticking to it… mostly.  I’ve been adding to the list and crossing things off - and I’m hoping as I go through the creation of the site that I’ll have a game-plan set up so I can rinse, wash, and repeat on my next site and the site after that.  Gauge the results and tweak them - see how it goes month to month - can I make my money back.  If I can do that, I see myself as profitable.

I’m still sitting here wondering if I’m doing the right thing.  I’m not doing any PPC advertising - or advertising at all for this new site.  I’m hoping that the content on the site will be picked up and I’ll start to see some traffic rolling through (as soon as I’m done with all this damn content).  But I’m not sure if I should start stumbling, digging and all that social crap to start getting people to the site.

See, that takes time…

… and I never feel like I have enough of it!  So tell me, what can I do to start getting the traffic coming in when I’ve completed the content part of the site?  I’m asking… because somewhere in this journey of mine - I think I missed something.
