In case you’re ever wondering how your website ranks on being a social little butterfly you can check out just how popular you are when you visit Social Scan. Social scan will take the popular sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Delicious, Bloglines, Technorati, and others - to see how you rank. I was honestly quiet surprised that this little site didn’t do so badly. Why? Because I have no social buttons on my site for people to stumble, digg, or do a cartwheel over - so I’m pretty stoked. Also I’m really starting to think I should put a few of those buttons on the site… it’s time to stop being anti-social and get my blog out there a little more. We’ll see what happens
My Stats:

Another interesting free program that you can use to check your feed stats against your competition - see where they’re going and where you’re going and if you’re on an even keel or if you need to up the game a little. Check out Feed Compare (that I found via Blog Perfume) - Feed Compare only works with your Feedburner stats. Using another RSS feed doesn’t appear to work… so the sites that I was going to compare with, didn’t work out. But I think it’s interesting and it might allow you to see what your competition is doing to increase it’s readers, etc.
So check them out… I found it interesting, hope you do too ![]()

Some good tools there, although they will no doubt be a bit more useful to me once I actually get some visitors…
Still, I put my site into Social Scan and was surprised to see a “35″ next to Blinklist - unfortunately I took a look on the site and none of the “matching” links were anything to do with my site. Strange.

Very neat. I’ve never heard of most of those. I don’t pay too much attention to social networking type sites. I find that Digg and Stumble traffic don’t convert so I don’t really spend any time trying to ge tpeople from those sites. But it’s funny to see inbound links without any effort!

Kirsty - for the longest time I just haven’t been inclined to try stumbling, digging, etc because it takes time and I’m not really into all of that. Some swear by it - and maybe I need to make my site a little more social for those more inclined to do that sort of thing. I have to say - the whole no effort inbound links does put a smile on my face
Chris - I’m not sure what’s up with the weird number… is your site relatively new? If it is, maybe they system hasn’t completely caught up with you yet? Maybe it’s a glitch… I’m not sure. Wow that’s not much help is it. It’s great to see you online and don’t be a stranger!
