Well, I still think the way Joel originally did this offer was not the right way to do it.  Now he’s taking a step back and correcting the big mess-up with the Adsense Secrets 4 ebook offer.  You have to hand it to Joel for realizing it and making the changes.  You can read more about what happened and what Joel is doing over at John Chow’s site (where I’d originally heard about the offer for Joel’s ebook).

Doing what Joel is doing, I think sets him apart from those affiliate marketers who are out just to screw us over.  I don’t know if that was an initial tactic to hide the recurring billing - or just an oversight on Joel’s part.  But coming back - admitting that it wasn’t the right way to do things and now making changes - offering 2 package deals and then to top it off - DONATING to Hearts and Hands over the next two weeks - that is awesome.
