EntreCard… what a fickle pickle

Web Development Add comments

I’ve been using EntreCard for a few weeks now and it’s been an eye-opener.   I seriously didn’t think that because it was a free service, and that the site(s) I’ve got in there aren’t crazy and out to lunch I would get too many rejection notices.

Lately I’ve been getting a lot.

WTF?

I’m not exactly advertising my card on strange niches… I think people are becoming more competitive.  LOL.  I guess I’ll have to whip the boot out and start punting right back.  The strange thing is -  one such character advertises on my site - then I try to do the same on his.  He then goes on to REJECT my ad.  What an asshole.  But I guess I can’t get too bent out of shape - since it’s a free service and all… but damn.  Now people are starting to play this a little more.  One rejection punted my “business card” because I had requested too often - I did it twice.  Maybe it was two in a row.  Heaven help me.  But I got the boot from there too.

I’ve actually been approving everyone up to this point.   Maybe I need to get picky.  But currently I just don’t see the point.  It’s a free service.  If you have a site that isn’t complete shit then I’ll approve you.  What the hell.  Someone out there reading this site, might click and actually enjoy it.

Whatever.  Get over it.  I’m moving on :)

Don’t feel bad…… I was reject by the great Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net. I just happened to be on EntreCard when he showed up and it was 1 hour and 2 credits. Of course I jumped on it. Who wouldn’t eh? 24 hours on ProBlogger.net would have been great for me. I am kind of curious why I was rejected. I guess being a Novice SEO means I am not able to contribute anything to the community. Too bad for me eh. Actually too bad for all the others that might have visited my blog and picked up some tips on how to help their website.

Come see me, i’ll approve you…….. eric aka NoviceSEO

Sorry for the confusion. Please keep in mind that rejections are never personal and reasons are always given.

But that being said we are going to do what we can to prevent this problem from becoming any more of a problem. We’ll probably make an award for people who have rejected the least amount of ads and give them extra exposure.

If you have any suggestions on dealing with this issue, please send em via the feedback form.

Remember your always welcome at the home of the Naked Affiliate, actually I think your card was displayed a couple of days ago.

I have to give props to John Cow for accepting my ad for his blog, so there’s one to give a try to..Yes I’ve noticed some people are rejecting, in a high schoolish way. Their loss though right? It may hurt a future networking opportunity.

I have yet to reject any ads, though I’ve had a few rejected too. I was going to try to keep track of who rejected me so I could not approve them, but at this point I don’t really care. There are too many blogs on there to really worry about it anymore. You’re always welcome on my site :-)

I have been approving everyone as well. Maybe I will change if I get rejected.
