I’ve been busy.

I’ve got things on the go.

I am afraid that what I’ve been doing is rather boring to talk about.  Seriously.  I could go on about how I’ve been adding content to a couple of sites.  That I’ve got my schedule together for what I should do each day - a little bit at a time… doesn’t seem quite so overwhelming… and blather on and on about the little things I’ve been doing (like adding the SEO all in one plugin to a few sites… handy!).  But really - even though I’ve touched on it - it’s boring.  I’m just doing what should be done.  Hoping that what I’m doing will help bring in more visitors to my sites.  Realizing how I’ve neglected a few of my sites and I should REALLY get on that and do something with them.

I’ve been having a hard time lately with a couple of my domains - I should say having a hard time renewing them.  With the whole Registerfly dilemma (where they’re no longer Icann accredited… so some of my sites went to GoDaddy and another domain registrar.)  What a freakin’ pain in my ass.  I had really wanted to transfer my domains out of GoDaddy… pronto - but had a glitch and then the renew time came up, and I couldn’t transfer I had to buy.  A couple of domains I had to let go that I didn’t really want to… but what ever.  The other day I went to renew a couple - what a pain in the ass.

I really don’t like GoDaddy.

I don’t like using my credit card - so since PayPal is an option with them - I thought I’d be alright.  Oh hell no.  I wasn’t.  You need a credit card attached to the PayPal account your using.  I think so many swear words came out of my mouth that I cracked the monitor.  NOTHING MORE FRUSTRATING!  I did manage to renew one domain - I’m hoping to get as many of them transferred out of there ASAP.  What a pain in the butt.  Their registration system blows too - so many options, add ons, and crap I don’t want…  it was really confusing.

But… I did manage to renew that one domain - and now after all that crap I’m hoping the other domains will be easier and I can transfer them out… or renew because of the jam I’m in time wise.

See… not very exciting

I’m hoping to have another couple of sites up this month to help bring up the income for Adsense.  I’m working on $100 for the month - or $3.33 a day.  I’m close… but I think if I can get a couple of more sites up, I’ll be able to do it.  I’m looking at trying to expand (as I always do) on the difference sources of income.  I think I’ll be focusing on that after I work on Adsense.  One at a time is what I’m trying to do - so it’s not so overwhelming.

I took a few days off from the Internet. Mostly to catch up with housework - which always seems to make a nice appearance… almost as instantly as it is cleaned up in my house.

This week my plans are to finish up the look of my new fan site. I just can’t get over my fan sites. I’ve got another couple of sites planned in that genre… and then I’m going to start expanding on the idea into other niches. I’m hoping to grab hold of some low-lying fruit (so to speak) and start making a little more in Adsense.

As much as I love my fan sites, they aren’t exactly racking in the money - good traffic and a health does of clicks. But these clicks aren’t exactly scoring me big bucks in returns. I shouldn’t sound like I’m complaining - so far I’ve made more doing this sort of thing than I ever have with Adsense before. I’m just “still” wondering where I can get some legitimate answers on where to find higher paying keywords… or is it just a hit and miss deal - that I have to figure out on my own.

Maybe I need to look more closely at the the trends - you know like the newly released Halo 3. There’s an opportunity, and it might be short lived in the way of the Internet - when the buzz dies down and all that. I know something like that has already come and gone - but I’m thinking I need to figure out what people are talking about. New releases - can build a site around a potential “biggie” and put adsense and CPA offers on it. Do the keyword research - get it out the gates before the majority will do it. That’s the key - that’s the golden egg - but it’s doing it that’s the challenge.
