Well I have to say after the work (or lack of in some parts) I’ve actually beat a few of my records from the month before:
Total: $190.01
I went up in my Adsense earnings which is totally great! I went down in my Text Link Ads - which is kind of sad, because that’s been my bread and butter for the past few months. So I’m thinking either I have to take it up a knotch and promote my text link ads like mad and make up for it or keep in mind different money making idea (a la not all my eggs in one basket sort of thing).
LinkWorth pulled a good one for me this month - since they’ve been doing their sponsored posts as well as text links - I’ve managed to pull in a review. Which is a nice little bonus
I’m thinking I need to work on getting a few more review articles in each month to add to the coffers if I’m going to make ends meet. I’d love to be able to work towards something - so I’m going to set up a little goal page. Maybe… see what happens. I’m looking at making money to make more money
- online investing I guess I’d call it. Maybe get money together and purchase an existing site and take it for a spin and see what happens. We’ll see
All in all I’m stoked for August!
Other Monthly income earners:
- Demp.se : $1,041.55
- John Chow: $12,406.76
- Thatedeguy: $295.88
- Green Llama: $ I’m not sure… but there are graphs and percentages!
- Simple Kind of Life: $5,965.92

Congrats for the month. So long as you’re making more than nothing then it’s always a bonus, more so when the graphs are always going up!

Well, that’s certainly a lot more than I’m making anyway - I’ve just about crossed the payout boundary for Adsense this year, although things have stepped up since I bought a site which brings in a bit of AdSense plus Amazon referral revenue.

Thanks for the link Empress! I don’t know about you, but I feel a bit inadequate next to John Chow. I guess we’ve all got to have a bar to jump for though!

SarahG - thanks! I went to your site… couldn’t find your site? … I am really happy to see things going up on the graphs that is for sure.
Paul - It’s definitely a good kick in the pants when you finally get that cheque from Google. It has taken me a long time to get where I am now, but I’m hoping the Google cheques will start rolling in a lot more often
thatedeguy - no worries! I think John’s totals are definitely something to shoot for - of course I’d be pretty darn happy with just a steady monthly Google cheque and work my way up… but definitely something to shoot for

What is this ‘cheque’ thing of which you speak? All the cool kids use Direct Deposit nowadays.
I find it interesting that you spell ‘cheque’ correctly as well - are you from Canada or Britain originally?

Oh Paul you got me there
Yes, all the cool kids get it direct deposited…even I do - but I still call it getting a cheque from Google. haha.
I’m Canadian… with British parents. So I suppose I come by the whole cheque thing naturally… lol.

Sorry for the lack of a dollar figure.. I’m weird about that. For what it’s worth, I fall somewhere in the middle of the group you listed. If that helps

Congratulations on those numbers. One of my sites has been up a couple months and it earned over $120 last month. Good luck for August!
