Seriously… things are just in a jumble right now. I contacted NameCheap - my new domain name host - and so far they have been more than awesome. In contacting NameCheap about transferring domains from RegisterFly. RegisterFly hasn’t been cooperative at all… and now I’m missing some EPP code to transfer. Which RegisterFly was supposed to do automatically.
Anyway - got a great response from NameCheap support - but I’m still at a loss as to how to get that code from Registerfly to Namecheap. So I’m off to do some more investigating. But this is ultimately the most frustrating thing I’ve come up against in a long time. GAH! Has anyone else had domains at Registerfly and haven’t had luck transferring them lately?
Other than that - I had a super lazy “I’m away from the computer” weekend and I really, really needed that. Maybe tonight I’ll do a little more computer stuff with my PF2007 site and start adding more content to it… since it appears I have just a week left to get it all done before the end of the month deadline I gave to myself.
Also… on a totally cool note - my Amazon stores are doing much better than I thought. Not a crazy amount of sales, but this month Amazon is kicking ass as far ass sales go in my neck of the woods. Whoohoo. I’m thinking I might need to expand on that a bit and see if I can start getting more visitors/sites/sales up and rolling with Amazon. My small tip to those of you out there wanting to try Amazon out - AVOID CDs and Books for selling (unless it’s in combination with other products or you’ve got an ass load of traffic)… because the payouts are so low. Go for products that will give you a little more back when you sell… bigger items - more payout - makes sense right?!
… and I also have to say THANK YOU BRIAN for that really awesome writeup you did. I totally appreciate it… so again thanks ![]()

I’m glad to hear at least some things are working for you! Congrats on the Amazon stores!
You’ll be very happy with Namecheap. I’ve transferred all my domains to them and I couldn’t be happier after two years of dealing with them.

Yes, I have really loved the service that I’ve got from NameCheap - I just wish I’d been faster on the transfers. I was doing it every month - when the cheques rolled in to transfer. But I have a few (dozen) left that I think I’m going to end up losing. Doesn’t make me super happy, but maybe if it doesn’t work out - it gives me a chance to start fresh too. I have to be positive (under all the swearing) I’m doing right now

to get EPP code from registerfly, just look in the WHOIS Contact Info for that domain, and then its on the bottom left of the screen under “Authorization Code”
good luck!

@ Producerism - I did finally manage to access the EPP codes for my sites last week. Seems to be rather hit or miss on the Registerfly site. So I’m still slowly transfering domains - when the money allows. I just want it all to be done … like… today. I’m so impatient!
Also LOVE YOUR WEBSITE! Very unique and I loved taking a look around - thanks for stopping by and leaving your link.
