October 2006 earnings: $100.36

– This total includes PPC, CPA, etc. All of it. It’s about $30 less than last month - although I did see AdSense double which was kind of nice to see. Maybe I’m doing something right… but I’m thinking with the last change in the PR, backlinks update - my sites got a little more search engine action and now I’m seeing a few more clicks.

I’m also thinking that I need to switch things up a bit on my dance music site. I’ve found that I’m getting clicks with AdSense… but the payout is the shits. TERRIBLE. This isn’t out of the norm for this site. It appears the whole idea of downloading music, ringtones, posters, etc - don’t score high bids. So I’m left with pretty crappy payouts.

I’ve given some love to CPA and Bidvertiser - and we’ll see how they perform on my dance site. It’s still early days… I’m going to work on ad location - maybe switching up text link colours - should I blend, shouldn’t I?? That sort of thing.

I’m not happy with the payout. Not at all. So I’m taking a note from 45n5 and am going to try new things - experiment more.

I want to earn more money. The whole point to this online adventure was to be able to pay my bills with what I earn online. If I earn more - then super. But I need to set the ground work out for me and the new year - which is fast approaching. I know what I need to do - it’s just getting my lazy butt in gear and actually doing it.
