As I was surfing through the blogosphere…. I came across an article about 12 Financial Tips for Women. It is a really good article and I totally and completely understand it. Which is rather odd - being that it is about finances…. and I’m just starting to read more about investing and trying to figure out how to get myself a little ahead of the game. Also I think those tips have some relevance to the guys too - I mean, who wants to live in poverty when you’re a senior.
Making a little extra money is what got me into Affiliate Marketing. I mean who couldn’t use an extra couple hundred dollars a month to lighten the bill load. What no one told me was how long this process is. Who knew it would take a year (at least) of hard work to even begin to see things turn around financially for these sites to make a few more dollars than usual. Seriously - did anyone think it would take so long to get things going?
Now with all the financial sites out there - there has always been a little bit of me wondering if I could build a site up around my learning curve when it comes to building a solid financial portfolio. Taking the time to research, learn more, investigate other people’s financial blogs and try to figure out all the financial talk (for the most part - is very, very dry… and not much fun to read)… and some that I just don’t really understand - because I’m so totally new to it all. It seems like a good personal blog - more for exploration than than telling people what to do. Which is so not what I want to do.
…. I’m rambling out loud.
Anyway… totally off the beaten path - but I think it is so worth reading about - check out 12 Financial tips for Women. The site Get Rich Slowly in general is really good…. so it might be worth adding it to your RSS feeds

Alternatively, you could replace all those 12 rules with just one simple rule:
“Marry someone with money - after all it’s in the marriage vows that your husband will endow you will all his worldly possessions”

“Seriously - did anyone think it would take so long to get things going?”
Haha, a great big ‘NO’ to that one!

Just a shot in the dark:
Do a google RELATED: search for this domain and there are a couple financial sites that show up:
Neville’s Financial Blog
Personal Finance Advice
So google thinks this site is possibly a “financial” site, it’s already got some decent backlinks, age, and pr, why not start a financial blog on a subdomain or subfolder here?
I plan on taking this advice with a couple of my sites (possibly 45n5).
Aside: Most of the other results were what I would expect, however this related:buildingmyempire.com through me off “All About Pregnancy”.

LOL… that’s got me wondering too…
Ohh!!! Now I remember
There was someone out there who put their site up for sale at SitePoint - that made good money each month and sold it for a good price ($5000 rings a bell… but my bell could be broken!). I think I wrote about it somewhere on this blog and the guy who built the site wrote back - and left that link.
… umm that’s all I could think of.
Seriously…. I’m not pregnant.
Yet.
LOL.

Thanks 45n5.

Sheesh, I just read your whole blog from start to finish over the past two days and I only have one word to say “Fascinating”. I’m not even sure how I ended up at your site! Hmm, maybe it was blogtopsites.
Anyway, I run an online advertising blog similar to yours except instead of just discussing different forms of advertising I directly reference my main website (Diggers Realm), the advertising changes I’ve made to it and their results (i.e. moving an ad from the right to the left navigation bar or changing from a 468 banner to a 728 leaderboard).
I’ve added you to my RSS daily reads.
Ever thought of guest blogging? I could really use someone to cover different forms of affiliate marketing that I’m not as experienced at on my advertising site. You could even just occasionally crosspost some of your more informative posts when you make them, such as “I used such and such and the results were…”. What would you get out of it? More exposure, authoritative voice, link back to your site or posts in your articles…
I use Clickbank as my alternate ads on my main website, but beyond that haven’t really delved into it too much…yet.
